STERILIZATION POLICY

MedSole is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sterilization, and infection prevention to protect the health and safety of all clients.

All reusable instruments used in foot care treatments are medical-grade instruments and are fully sterilized between each client. Instruments are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized using a steam autoclave, the same sterilization method used in hospitals and dental clinics. This process eliminates bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores.

Instruments are never reused without undergoing the full sterilization process. Each item is inspected prior to use to ensure it meets safety and cleanliness standards. Where appropriate, single-use disposable items are incorporated and discarded after each client.

Strict infection prevention and control practices are followed at all times, in accordance with professional standards and applicable Alberta Health Services guidelines. These measures are particularly important for clients who are considered high risk, including those with diabetes, compromised immune systems, or circulatory conditions, where even minor skin injuries can lead to complications.

By adhering to rigorous sterilization protocols, MedSole provides a safe, hygienic environment and ensures that every client receives care delivered with professionalism, attention to detail, and a health-first approach.
